A damaged blade can cause a wind turbine to produce less by slowing down the blade.
Fractures and holes in the blades create drag. By remolding the damaged portion of the composite blade, we are able to bring the turbine up to optimal production. We don’t just ‘fix’ the blade. We return the blade to its factory condition, using the correct resins and materials to match the composite material in the blade.
Blade damage can occur from hail storms, lightening strikes, stress fractures, etc…… Extreme climate conditions that Wind Farms can find themselves in can cause great wind erosion issues.
